Microsoft Visio is a highly professional diagramming tool that can be used to produce quality diagrams for multipurpose. Visio gives the user the flexibility to save the generated diagram in various formats, including JPEG, PNG, or vector format that are used for research purposes. However, saving the diagram directly as JPEG or PNG can reduce the quality of the image no matter what resolution you choose ( this has happened to me). On top of that, if you save it as a vector image, then try to use some external vector editor, some unwanted portion can be seen in the image. Here , I am discussing a simple solution to save it as a high-quality image.
Save the Visio drawing as PDF
At first, save the Visio drawing as PDF. But before that, go to the design tab, select size, and then select fit to the window.
And then go to file, then save as, and then chose the pdf format.
Import to the Vector Image Editor & Save as EPS/PNG
Open the pdf file in any vector editor. I will be using inkscape which is a free alternative of adobe illustrator.
Select the Popler/ cairo import when the dialogue box appears
Then you can save it as eps or png format. While saving in png, give the proper resolution, here I am giving 600 dpi.
